Season 2, Episode 15: Gone with the Will
Blair: The only thing he's gonna need support for is the massiveinfluxinto his bank account.
influx: a mass arrival or incoming
Jenny: Hey, Eric! Okay, guess what? Jonathan and I decided that tonight we are gonna have an Edith Head film festival.
Jonathan: She says Edith Head, I say Hitchcock. Same difference.
Eric: Great. Count me in.
Edith Head(October 28, 1897 – October 24, 1981) was an American costume designer who had a long career in Hollywood that garnered eight Academy Awards—more than any other woman in history.
Count me in:算我一个，算上我
Serena: Dan, hey.
Dan: Sorry, I'm a little out of it.
Serena: Look, I know you've been avoiding me, but my mom called from Boston this morning, and I asked her point blank. You have nothing to worry about.
I'm a little out of it:我有点走神，心不在焉
point blank: 1. right here, right now, in your face and/or in your ear. Used when someone is trying to prove a point. She gave him a point blank refusal. 2. the closest distance between anything that's good and bad.近距离e.g. He shot her at a point blank range.
Nelly: We should at least tell Blair.
Isabel: We can't. Blair's with chuck again.
Penelope: I'm really getting sick of how much time she's spending with him.
Isabel: But his dad just died.
Penelope: Yeah, like a month ago. Afraid we're on our own for this one, ladies.
we're on our own:这次我们只能靠自己了，还有个词组act alone跟它很像，表示单独行动。
Serena: Are you sure this is the best time for a flare-upof chuckfever?
Blair: I'm having no such thing. We're just friends.
I’mhaving no such thing: 才没有呢
Vanessa: Okay, enough. You've been walking around for days with a storm cloud over your head. What is going on? It's annoying.
Dan: I really can't talk about it.
Vanessa: Dan, clearly something's up. So let me help you.
with a storm cloud over your head: 愁容满面
clearly something’s up: 明显有事情，注意这个up的用法很简洁
Vanessa: You know who I am?
Girl: Please. Dating Nate Archibald after striking outwith Dan Humphrey? Talk about failing upwards.
Vanessa: I just dropped Dan off at theloft.
Serena: Oh, no. I came to see you. I'm here on a ratherpatheticmission. I'm boyfriend snooping.
I’ll drop you off at the school.
Blair: Spare methose expressive eyebrows. I can't wait till you getBotox.
spare me: 省省吧。
Jenny: Um, I'm gonna go findEric, but text me if you need any moral support.
Dan: I can't. I lost my phone. I'mstuckwithdad's old cell. It practically has a rotary dial.
Chuck: You're my only family. How could you do this to me?
Jack: You did it to yourself.
You did it to yourself: 你是自作自受
Dan: I mean, this whole thing has actually made menostalgicfor the days when jenny was the problem. Speaking of which, I should go check onher. I mean, today's been tough on her, obviously.
Chuck: I'm sorry. I screwed up.
Blair: It's too late, Chuck. I have stood by you through all of this, but I can't watch you self-destructany longer.
Chuck: Jack set me up.
Blair: There's no one to blame but yourself.
set up另外还有“安排”的意思，比如set up a meeting.
There's no one to blame but yourself: 要怪只能怪你自己
Eric: Sorry. There, I said it first. Ha ha.
Jenny: (chuckles) Thanks. But, uh, I really should be the one to apologize. I mean, you have every right to want to be alone with Jonathan.
Eric: Yeah, but it doesn't mean you get on my nerves... that much.
get on my nerves: 惹毛了，招人讨厌，piss off也有这样的意思，不过比较粗鲁一点
